Aims and Scope

MASALIKUNA: Journal of Fiqh Sosial and Turāś is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the study, contextualization, and development of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) within modern societal frameworks and classical Islamic textual traditions (Turas).

The journal accepts original research articles based on both library research (conceptual-doctrinal studies) and field research (empirical studies). The primary focus areas include:

Philosophy of Islamic Law: Critical inquiries into the foundations, Usul al-Fiqh, Maqasid al-Shari'ah, and contemporary legal philosophy.

Fiqh Sosial (Fiqh al-Ijtima'i): Theoretical and methodological developments in thematic Fiqh studies, including: Fiqh al-Mar’ah (Gender and Women's Issues), Fiqh al-Bi'ah (Environmental Fiqh & Eco-theology), Fiqh al-Siyasah (Politics, Governance, and Public Policy), Fiqh al-Tsaqafah (Culture and Cultural Heritage), Nationhood, Pluralism, and Minority-Majority Dynamics.
